Arbitration is a well-known tool with recognized value for dispute resolution, and is used extensively to settle difficult labour, sports, and commercial issues.
It's an effective and cost-efficient method for both parties to find a solution. Arbitration eliminates the need for a lengthy, expensive, uncertain, and complex court process. Most importantly, the parties have control of the process through their Arbitration Agreement.
You're in control
The issues in dispute, process timing, Examinations for Discovery, the number of witnesses, the nature of the evidence, and the date, time, and location are all chosen by the parties with the assistance of the arbitrator. The terms of appeal are also determined and agreed by both parties.
Motions are heard by the arbitrator in telephone conference calls, and the award is usually issued within four weeks of the arbitration hearing.
